Teaching Fellows to be Elite Team Physicians

The Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine Fellowship Programs train Fellows in the expert evaluation, diagnosis and management, both surgical and nonsurgical conditions that are particular to athletes and the unique injuries they face.

Fellows perform extensive duties covering both teams and individual athletes. The patients/athletes we evaluate and treat run the full gamut of sports and all levels of participation from amateur to elite professional athletes. We provide Team Physician coverage for well over 50 area high schools, three colleges and two professional organizations.

With the Cleveland Clinic, Fellows receive exposure to highly experienced, world-renown expert staff who perform high volume, innovative and cutting-edge surgical procedures and minimally-invasive/ultrasound-guided in office procedures. Our Sports and Exercise Medicine and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Staff are also the foremost authorities on injury prevention, athletic performance and other conservative modalities utilized to care for all types of athletes. The Sports and Exercise Medicine and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellows work side by side in the training room in preparation to become elite Team Physicians. Each fellow will also have the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge Sports Medicine research.

Upon completion of the fellowship, you'll gain membership into the Warthog Society, the alumni group of Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine. Membership benefits include professional networking and social opportunities, and access to some of the leading Sports Medicine Physicians in the world.
